July 28. That’s the day that men hitting balls with wooden sticks is no longer our only northern midwest sports topic of discussion. Well kinda. It’s the first day since last winter that professional American footballers take the field in actual pads. Training camp might seem somewhat uneventful, but it’s going to be more awesome when it’s here. And we’re gonna have some fun stuff to start talking about too.

The Mayor will talk up how many interceptions Favre is going to throw this year, while I will personally wonder if Brad Childress will have any hair left by the end of the season and maybe even give you 100 reasons why the Vikings will suck.
